In the period from 28.06.24 to 30.06.24, an international craft fair organized by the project and the Chamber of Entrepreneurship and Crafts Prizren took place in Prizren, Kosovo, for the second time.
60 craftswomen had the opportunity to exhibit their handicraft products in two airy halls on the central square in the historic old town.The majority of exhibitors came from Kosovo (not only from Prizren, but from all over the country). In addition, female entrepreneurs from Albania, North Macedonia and Montenegro were present.The range of products on display included traditional, folkloric handicrafts, jewellery, traditional costumes, souvenirs, but also natural cosmetic products that show a new trend.
The ceremonial opening took place on 28.06.24. Among those present were high-ranking government representatives (Ministry of Education, Ministry of Economy, Deputy Prime Minister), the Mayor of the City of Prizren Shaqir Totaj, and the German Ambassador H. E. Jörn Rhode.
Local and national media were also present. In retrospect, various reports appeared on television and social media.
The interest of politicians and the public in the trade fair shows that the idea for such an event was the right one. It would be recommended to organize the fair even better in the future and make it a tradition. In summer, many tourists visit Prizren. This means higher sales figures and more popularity for the exhibitors.
